WRS -- ASFA Biological Sciences and Living Resources

This week's offering is Biological Sciences and Living Resources, part of the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) on the CSA platform. Biological Sciences and Living Resources indexes literature relating to all aspects of research on aquatic organisms, with strong coverege of fisheries research. It indexes more than 650,000 records with coverage as far back as 1971.

The advanced search allows up to 9 keywords in more than 30 fields, combinable by AND, OR, or NOT. The results can also be limited to English only, or a specific publication date range. Full citations are given, including an abstract in most cases. A search history is kept of all searches done in a session, and individual searches can be combined and manipulated from the Search Tools tab.

In addition, researchers can create an account and set up search alerts to be notified via email when a new record is added that fits a given search criteria.
